What is the difference between NIALOR® and other forms of Niacin?
NIALOR®'s main ingredient is Instant-Release (Crystalline) Niacin. NIALOR® also contains milk thistle & sugar
cane policosanol that act as accelerants, making NIALOR® more effective than other forms of Niacin.
Sustained-Release (Timed-Release) Niacin typically eliminates the flushing, but over 50% of
Sustained-Release Niacin users develop signs of liver toxicity. Please see our section on "Niacin &
Cholesterol" for more information.
Flush-Free Niacin also does not produce flushing, but has been clinically shown to have no impact on
improving cholesterol. Please see our section on "Niacin & Cholesterol" for more information.
Milk Thistle & Sugar Cane Policosanol make NIALOR® unique in several ways:
1. Milk Thistle offsets the typical niacin flushing effect, by suppressing the body's production of prostaglandin
(an inflammatory hormone). This allows you to take powerful, instant-release niacin in much larger quantities
than would otherwise be intolerable.
2. Corrects the Liver's LGC mechanism, sharply improving blood glucose - lipid conversion.
3. Provides additional LDL Cholesterol Improvement.
What is "Flushing"?
Flushing is a histamine reaction to Instant-Release Niacin. Typical symptoms are red, hot and Itchy skin which
typically lasts for about 1-4 hours. Flushing is generally harmless, but can be very unpleasant, much like a
sunburn.
Does NIALOR® truly eliminate Niacin Flushing?

Can I combine NIALOR® with prescription cholesterol medications?
Yes, but only under the supervision of your doctor. Niacin and prescription statins have been shown to improve
atherosclerosis (buildup on plaque on the artery walls) 68% better than with statins alone.
In general, prescription statins are more effective at improving LDL cholesterol, while Niacin is the product of
choice to improve HDL Cholesterol and Triglycerides. The milk thistle ingredient in NIALOR® may offer added
liver protection for such a combination.

Recommended in all cases. Many people wanting to improve their cholesterol, also have other medical
